Reira. Light recognizes something similar from his first night here. Any door would do, wouldn't it? Normally, he wouldn't trust such an offering, but he can't let someone who knows his name keep sending messages over the network. Is there really a choice? He doesn't feel like there's a good one.

They remind me of home in some ways. I had a balcony connected to my room, and when I had been particularly busy, I would go outside and watch the city. Tokyo has a lot of buildings, which can often hide the stars, but I lived in a side neighborhood where the lights weren't as prevalent. I'd never learned the constellations, though.

If they're not very sane and excessively masochistic and refuse to get help for injuries, even though it's visibly causing them pain and restricting their movement? He's undead, so he isn't in any danger of dying, but. Is that wrong?

Logically, doctors can treat patients that have been labeled as unfit to care for themselves, even without permission from the patient themselves. It's not something that people without the certification can do on a legal level.

The timing could've been better, since he's apparently supposed to begin changing tomorrow, but that left him at least a little time to gather as much as he could in regards to information and, with luck, get a job.]

[The director of the labs may be a bit younger than expected. When he arrives, called down by the receptionist that sits at one of the few desks, he looks to be in his late teens or early twenties. The smile he offers Egon is pleasant enough as he reaches to accept the shake with gloved hands.

If he's yet to meet a faerie, the wings that stand out of the immaculately fitting suit could be the first sign of Light's monster type as there are four, all of which are blue, black, and shimmering. The only other obvious sign are the two small antennae which poke up from the top of his head.]

Hey boss, sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I would have messaged you two minutes after I finished the exploration, but things have been going on (usual Ryslig faire) and there's been a lot of me to think about.

On the 25th of February, Touya and myself took a boat to the Bruten Island Brasa. Brasa is an area with lots of mountains, different to the other islands. Since the ground is fertile around and active volcano, there are many types of interesting plants unique in the forest here (see attached File1 for images and details). However, there's not really a lot to see on the surface of the island. The most interesting feature is the mansion that's there. Apparently it used to belong to some fancy, rich hunter but the house was sold off to a bunch of merchants who plan on renting it out as a tourist destination. There's been no development for that though.

The actual interesting things to find though is everything under the sea. I've compared the rocks from the Aldrig Mountain Range from my independent (and stupid) visit there and the Brasa mountains' base. Looks like the rumours are true. Brasa did break off from the mountain range. It's eroded over time, but it's a clean break (File2).

... Under the water though... I had to go alone but I found a number of caverns. Some of them weren't natural at all. There were not entirely abandoned either- I found a number of unlit torches on the wall. The tunnels lead into the mountains but a number of them just... stop. The rock is still mineable, so... I dunno. Either they got up and suddenly left or they had to abandon the place. I'm thinking the latter... the number of pickaxes and mattocks that were strewn about was insane. I have a couple in my tent if you want to look at them.

The caverns... The deeper I went, the more I felt a feeling of dread... Like I shouldn't have been there. I swear there was someone else down there with me, even if I knew I was alone. I couldn't go far in most of them before... I dunno, I think I had a few supernatural panic attacks. That's the only way I could describe them.

The one place I could go down though? There was something in the wall at the end of that tunnel. Someone had started to unearth something purple there. I couldn't tell what it was, but when I looked at it, my vision began to go purple and the panic was stronger than ever. I couldn't get near it no matter how hard I tried. I'm guessing it's some fear-causing material. It's... it's difficult to explain, but I think it's affected me somehow.

I'm printing out a copy of my notes and leaving it in Liewan Labs so we have a hard copy. In case I disappear.
